Welcome To Our Network
A couple of years ago people were very cautious to talk to a psychologist when experiencing problems or anxiety. Many people felt embarrassed or ashamed of their symptoms due to our society which stigmatised people who visited a psychologist.
Maybe they would think you’re a little crazy. But this has changed. A friend can be a sounding board, but when you’re struggling with or want to prevent an emotional problem it will be advisable to seek help from a professional.
Psychologists/counsellors are well trained, can evaluate a situation and have very good listening skills. They can also give people a broader perspective and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit can equip people to solve problems.
Most people have the inner strength to overcome their fears and problems but need guidance. Others feel totally lost and without any power. The Lord promises to give us the grace to overcome any problem.
Many of us feel lost and empty today. A healthy meaningful spiritual life should be the core of every person. A psychologist/ counsellor could be an instrument in the hand of the Lord to make you realise that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Phil 4:13)). You can rediscover the meaning of life and experience the joy that Christ meant for you to have.
