Current Outreach at Kidstop, George until December 2024. …

The need in communities around us is overwhelming; we don’t know what to do…

… but when we get together, amazing things can happen!

The Lord uses the little we give, stretch it, and together we leave a significant footprint of something extraordinary behind. Something that cannot be explained. We experience joy of being part of God’s kingdom. We are blessed knowing that our lives do have value, and the Lord can use us.

We at “Alive for Jesus” are touched by the facility of Kidstop (Borcherds). Kidstop provides a safe haven for +-220 children not to roam on the streets. They offer programs for the kids after school, and even for children who dropped out of the mainstream schools. It is a Christian based facility which is safe, fun and educational.

We invite you to give what the Lord lays on your heart and what is in your hand. The mighty ocean is made of little drops of water. We will from now onwards receive donations and goods during October to December for this project. Kindly communicate with us on 082 412 8876 or email admin@aliveforjesus.org. IMMEDIATE OUTREACH:

• Provide for the desperate need of clothing and shoes. (Age 3 to 18). The public can bring items to our Alife for Jesus/Chrisitan Psychologist office at 20 Varing Avenue, Dormehls Drift on Fridays between 10:30am and 12:00am. If you have toys or balls, you welcome to bring them along.
• Bibles (in Afrikaans) for the children are necessary. (CUM have in October specials on the bibles @R60 per bible.)
• The kitchen needs a two-plate gas stove with gas cylinder.
• The office administration lady needs a computer.
• The building needs urgent maintenance. Builders and/or contractors can contact us to make a permanent difference for the facilities. Bathrooms need toilets and basins. Eating and playing areas need wooden tabletops. Tiling and painting of the building. Roof needs repairs.
• In the play area: Couches, tables and boardgames are also welcome. (Fixing of the one pool table is necessary.)

CHRISTMAS OUTREACH

• We plan to give each child a personal stationery and toiletry package. Also a food parcel to take home. Donations for these packages will be much appreciated. Contact us for the details.
• You invited to join the Alive for Jesus team who will on
  1. 23^rd December 2024 DV
     1. Assist with the preparation of the Christmas meal for +- 250 kids and,
     2. Make food parcels for +- 200 families the kids can take home for Christmas.
  2. 24^th December 2024 DV assist in handing out the meals, parcels and play with the children.
• Giving for the Christmas outreach include stationary, toiletries and food parcels.

Introduction of Alive for Jesus

Works of charity and righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus must go together – one is not complete without the other. An example is the case of Cornelius in Acts 10:1-48. Cornelius lived a righteous life and helped those who were in dire need of his resources and he, with the members of his household discovered themselves! His positive example really proves that God freely gives His grace to those who rely on His Word. As Christians when we live a righteous life in Christ Jesus and sincerely help those who are in dire need of what we possess, then, we will not only receive self-deliverance but also discover ourselves and our real value. In other words, when we live a righteous life in Chris Jesus and sincerely help those who are in dire need of our resources, then, we will be called to act with God, know God’s opinion of ourselves and about others, work with God’s projects. Finally, the secret of blessing is in giving!

Alive for Jesus is a Non-Profit Company founded by Izak and Elmarie Malan. The aim is to expand God’s kingdom especially through outreaches and charitable events. In these events we encourage both individuals and families to be actively involved. It is important for us to involve our children and enable them to learn and see from a small age the blessing of giving. We have experienced that all involved leave the events enriched with God’s joy, knowing we are special to the Lord and making a difference for Him. Something special also happens in our wellbeing, for as the Lord say in His Word, it is more blessed to give than to receive. In a world that care less, we can care more.
