Stepmothers

Stepmothers is one of the key role players in a stepfamily. Due to fairy tales like Cinderella ans Snow White they are often thinking of evil, mean, and cruel while they are often a wonderful mother for the children.

They could have had initially an unrealistic expectation for their new family and try extremely hard to create a close family long before the children are ready. Disappointment and frustration with these new children, along with what is often a very unclear role definition, may make it hard to find for a stepmother to really find her place in this family. But on the end, they are most of the times wonderful mothers for every child in the stepfamily.
