Stepfather

To be a stepfather can be challenging. There are many landmines, and it is easier just to retreat than to engage and face situations. Many stepfathers disconnect from their stepchildren emotionally and withdraw from daily responsibilities. This is not the winning way. Instead, they can and should offer guidance, love, and encouragement to the children under their care. These dads have profound and important leadership roles to take up with their children, and stepchildren.

Guidance from the Word

Proverbs 23:24: “The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.”

Malachi 4:6: “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”
